Patel Pulmonary PA

My wife was referred to Dr. Patel by our cardiologist who sits on the board of the hospital. As we were told, Dr. Patel is outstanding and quite thorough. My wife had several visits with him and a follow-up this morning. Something seemed off because none of the usual staff was present. After waiting for more than an hour, an assistant came into the examination room and told us “she” is running behind. We questioned, “she”? Where’s Dr. Patel? Oh, you have an appointment with so-and-so. No, our appointment is with Dr. Patel. It’s always with Dr. Patel. When today was scheduled, nothing to the contrary was told to us so cancel this appointment (after we wasted an entire morning in travel time and waiting) and schedule it for Dr. Patel. The office staff began to confirm insurance coverage when I arrived for my appt. and even asked me to return in an hour while they sat on hold. They had collected all the insurance information a month before for that very purpose. I was provided a DIRTY sleep study machine covered in medical tape glue and had a flashing error light the entire time. The office staff cannot get billing correct. They have verbally acknowledged a serious billing error telling me its fixed in the system (which usually seems to be "down") but have yet to provide a statement indicating the correction as promised. This office has no "portal" like every other medical professional so you cannot get information, research charges, or pay on-line. Dr Deepak Patel is a pulmonologist. He is an excellent doctor Hands-On and caring. Staff also patient oriented. I would recommend Dr Patel to anyone who needs good respiratory Care.

Wouldn’t have walked in here if I didn’t need it but I had to do it because my mother was very sick, I was trying to get her seen by the doctor as soon as possible especially since it was early morning before all the patients walk in. I had the unpleasant time of dealing with a mother and daughter that work at this office. Everyone here was very unhappy to be working and even more upset to deal with new patients or walk ins. Wish I could leave 0 stars. Employees like this need to just not work with sick patients or the public at all. Thankfully I wasn’t having a bad morning to return the bad attitude.

This is my personal opinion. The doctor and his staff have always been really nice and very knowledgeable everytime I go to see the doctor. They are very nice and very kind and understanding. I want to say thank you for everything you do to take care of me. GREAT DOCTOR AND GREAT STAFF. THANK YOU....
