Best dentist ever! Dr. Sander is extremely knowledgeable and specializes in TMJ disorders. He’s is one of only a couple of dentists in the area that makes correct orthotic splints for this kind of treatment! I’m so lucky to have him as my dentist. 😊

Do not use the mouth guards given and constantly recommend by Dr. Sander. Mine nearly killed me. What you are never told is they CAN be swallowed. The temporary given is far more dangerous than the permanent and should never, ever be given to patients for use of any kind!! After swallowing the guard, a four day hospital stay and an 8 inch incision (with staples..yay!!) I am alive. Needless to say one star was quite generous. Go back to mouth guard school Sander. This was absolutely ABSURD and should never happen to anyone. Shameful.

When I moved to Mount Pleasant I called around to find a new dentist that was well trained with TMJ disorders. At least two popular dentists in Mount Pleasant said that I should meet with Dr. Sander as soon as I started to mention having a TMJ history. Dr. Sander is extremely educated on all aspects of TMJ and dedicated to meeting his patients where they are and getting them to a better place. I went from chronic pain to being pain free 95% of the time. He also has a great network of other professionals that he refers to when needed (botox, chiro, etc). I have been to other amazing dentists in other states but have never had the same great experience from a dentist as well as his whole office team. I am a very grateful patient!

Dr Todd Sander is the most comprehensive and capable dentist that I’ve ever known. His staff is consistently taking CE courses to stay ahead of the constant changes in dentistry. A recent visit exemplified these facts in their preparedness to protect patients from Covid. Parkwood Dental is the only practice that I refer my former patients to for their dental needs.
