If you are in pain this is not the hospital to come to. I came here in so much and at triage the pa asked no question I waited for 5 hours in pain with no medication. When I got to the room finally the doctor said that the pain will go away on its own. I asked if I could get some meds as the pain was unbearable she then offered meds and testing. After doing labs and getting the medication I felt no relief and I was feeling nauseous I was still in some much pain but because the doctor was leaving she had to discharge me. I have been unable to eat for the past 3 days and they could care less . All they wanted was to me leave with a pain level at 10 because the incoming physician did not want overnight patients. This post is for Parkland’s Labor and Delivery division ONLY. My review is based on my delivery experience with my first child almost 9 years ago. I was 16 years old at the time, young, naive and scared. I had no idea what to expect but never did I imagine my delivery being as difficult as it was due to the negligence and unprofessionalism of the nurses assigned to me. I was in labor for 22 hours after being given pitocin (which I consented to) and was so uncomfortable the entire time (normal!). However, when it came time to push, I was weak, burning up with fever and extremely tired. As I was doing my best to push, who I believe was the head nurse started yelling at me stating: “You need to push harder or I’m going to go grab the clamps, I swear I will!”. I did a visit to the ER. The staff and security were very nice everyone was helpful. I was very impressed on how fast they get your labs done and get x-rays done. It was almost instant when I walked in and they had my labs going doing x-rays all that went so fast like as soon as I got there then I was put in the lobby to wait and I did not realize this is not your typical ER so be ready to wait hours I waited seven hours before I had to leave to work so I did not get to see the doctor to go over my results. And it is flu season so wait times 12 hours plus to go over the results. Probably not a place to bring your children due to homeless people walking in and ripping off their clothes with mental issues and others fighting and being handcuffed. ⸻ I had a very disappointing experience at this ENT clinic. I’ve been dealing with serious breathing issues for over a year and was referred here for surgical evaluation. I had already completed CT scans and allergy testing prior to my visit. Unfortunately, the nurse practitioner I saw—I believe her name was Lizzy—did not review my medical records, was unaware that I had a CT scan done, and refused to look at the documentation I brought with me. Despite clear evidence and my ongoing symptoms, I was told it was “just allergies,” even though allergy testing had already been completed. I explained that I have difficulty breathing at night and that this has been affecting my quality of life for a long time.
