Dr. Anand MURTHI is an outstanding surgeon. When facing a challenging surgery, he perserveres to find a solution with the patient's best interest at heart. The first meeting with him was a bit tense & he seemed aloof & borderline arrogant . Now, I find he is compassionate, understanding & I would not go to anyone else!

I was recently brought there in cuffs, from work, based on legal action taken by my mother, for a mental health assessment. nobody touched me and the police were very sorry that they had to cuff me because I was calm and rational. after several hours of being locked in a dank room very reminiscent of a prison cell the doctor came to tell me that he believed he had "enough ammunition" to send me for a an involuntary. he convinced me to do a voluntary hold. the staff could have been a little more polite given that I was being held against my will and given a choice of the easy way or the hard way, but under the circumstances they did quite well. I was eventually sent to harbor hospital for treatment. I think that Union memorial could improve their amenities for involuntary holds, given that

Dr. B. Moetz,and his team...please read carefully Had cervical neck fusion which hurts like hell with pain meds. Got released from the hospital saturday nite, get to pharmacy and no pre authorization for the opiods...of coarse and spent all weekend trying to straighten it out. So its monday morning an now find out they need a new perscription and pre authorization. So i call the hospital an they tell me they will get it straighten out and they have spoken to the doctors secratary an to expect a call... NOTHING So now i gotta go back to ER to get help with pain. Doctors supposed to do lower lumbar in 6 weeks. Definatly getting that cancelled cause i cant get them to do the right thing now, not doing it a 2nd time. No stars and would stay far away from MedSterHealth

Dr Brooke Smith in the ER Dept is Absolutely Amazing! Her & her staff was heaven sent. I tore my finger apart (6 stitches) & Dr. Smith emotionally, mentally & physically made my life better. She alone w/her glorious demeanor & down to earth approch made my nightmare as pleasant as possible. Thank You!
