It's a lively place with an amazing Recreation Department and an Administration who listens, to whom you can voice a concern at any time and receive a timely response and best resolution. My loved one has been a resident here for seven years. Prior to the placement I visited places in the Bronx, Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn. What most resides in my memory are images of residents staring at the walls, in silence. Truly ONH is a world apart. Activities are available almost all day with a lovely, nurturing staff who foster engagement and social interaction to truly enrich the residents' lives. No one should be lonely here. Welcoming Experience. All Staff from time I entered building, smiling and professional. My Relative is calm, pleasant and refused to go elsewhere. It's amazing, plenty of activities and staff around the clock to address all concerns. Meals and snacks available- residents never hungry. Warm and comfortable atmosphere. I'm definitely impressed.

In August 2025 my family and I toured Oxford Nursing Home. Pleased with the tour, we reached out via email regarding an attempt to place my family member at Oxford Nursing Home. On August 4, I reached out to Valerie Cruz with no response. On August 11, I sent an additional email and arranged for my relative to visit the facility to get an update on our first communication attempt. Later that day, Valerie responded, and we had a phone call. Afterward, I sent a text summarizing our conversation, which was acknowledged. When I followed up on August 25 regarding the information Valerie Cruz had indicated she would provide, she called and stated she never promised any details and could not offer insight until documents were received. Shout out to Sheila M. from Oxford Nursing home. What a blessing she was to me, as my father was in rehab and I was out of state. Sheila had great communication with me and was always professional and courteous to me and my father. She did her job very well and was in all the details. The rest of the staff seemed good but Sheila was my main point of contact.

I came to visit my older friend who had just arrived the day before having been discharged from the hospital. I was impressed by the facility and thought all the employees and nurses were very easy to talk to and seemed to be very caring and attentive. There seemed to be a good employee or nurse per patient ratio. The process to visit and enter was pretty easy and my older friend seems to be in good hands there.
