Our Lady of the Lake Physician Group Covington

Came to office looking for a primary doctor for my now adult sons. From the moment I encountered this black lady wearing a gray wig at the front desk, she was rude to me. She then told the white guy at the desk that my sons writing was horrible, in my presence. How rude. Both of these boys just graduated from college at the top of their class. Handwriting does not mean a thing, but people who are serving the public should never be so disrespectful to patients. I don’t know yet what their doctor experience will be like, but I hope it is not like what I just experienced, we shall see.

Very disappointed in this group. My husband had an urgent need, called for an appointment with his primary care physician, Dr. Galofaro, and was told he couldn't see him for over a week (apparently they don't keep openings for urgent needs). So instead he went to urgent care. Fast forward a few weeks later, he tried to schedule an appointment with Galofaro for a follow-up; however, he was told Dr. Galofaro was out. They suggested he see Dr. Palmisano instead. He obliged. He arrived for his appointment, signed in, and as he was waiting received a call to cancel his appointment as Dr. Palmisano was out sick. Seriously, what is up with this place. The nurse helping me was incredibly rude and insensitive, and I would have to assume it's because I'm asian at this point. Despite being anxious from not going to a doctor for years, this was the worst possible experience to have coming back. I even told the nurse that I haven't been to a doctor in a long time, and she never guided me through anything as she just expected me to know what to do. I was laughed at multiple times. I have found out later that for some unknown reason I was marked as Chinese on my profile and spoke Chinese?? Literally the most unprofessional thing I've ever seen, I was never asked about my race so I don't know why it was assumed. Dr Galoforo was very thorough and took time with our son. The wait time wasn’t long at all. It was a very pleasant experience and we will be back.

Dr. Galofaro is great and very knowledgeable. And so is Dr. Devraj. However, the front office staff can be hard to work with at times, really nice people just very busy.
