OU Health ER & Urgent Care Yukon

Unfortunately I had to go twice in one week. First my daughter then for myself, both with the flu. The experience was consistently good each time. They also shared that certain tests could change the visit from an urgent care visit to ER status. I appreciated the transparency and communication. Overall we were in and out in an hour.

I was really disappointed with my first visit to this urgent care but decided to give it a second chance. I left the 2nd visit just as disappointed as the first. The wait time in the room on both visits was much longer than expected and the bedside manner left a lot to be desired. The interactions felt impersonal and lacked compassion, which made already stressful visits worse. To top it all off, when I asked to extend a doctor's note, a note that had not yet been submitted to my child's school, I was told they couldn't do that. My child was seen and didn't get better as quickly as originally thought. Other places extend notes, why can't this one? I hope management takes feedback like this seriously and works on improving both patient experience and communication. Compassion and cu

Stay far away from this so called urgent care. My son was seen on 1/9/26, for a four wheeler accident. CT Scan was done and he has a couple fractured bones (which doesn’t need repair they will heel on their own). They wanted me to sign a AMA form because I refused to let MY son be taking to OU Children’s with EMS. I would take him myself. My son wanted to wait till Monday to see an actual trusted specialist for his fractures. The discharged nurse (guy with the long beard) sat and my face and told me my son will end up paralyzed if he doesn’t go with the EMS, I still refused. So today 1/11/26 a CPS guy came to my home about a report the Urgent care made. I’m literally sitting at OU Children’s Hospital now as I write this. I'm grateful for the wonderful staff and providers here at OU Health ER in Yukon who took great care of me. Dr. Michael Padgham & Dt. Scott Allen Chappell both had excellent bedside manner, were knowledgeable & I felt better after a few hours of their recommended treatment. I highly recommend this facility!

Great experience here from the time I got here to the time I left. The nurses and doctor were kind, efficient, helpful, and overall just really wonderful. As someone with health anxiety, finding medical professionals that are empathetic and understanding is important to me and I have only wonderful things to say about my experience here.
