Otterbein Perrysburg SeniorLife Neighborhood

My Mom was at Otterbein for 3 months after suffering a stroke. She didn't want to leave, even to move closer to home! She felt very comfortable there and really got to know the staff and other residents well. We loved the unique setup with the central rehab/dining/living/learning area and rooms along the perimeter (ensuring all residents had lots of natural light). The nurses, therapists, aides and all staff were very personable and really got to know my Mom and all of her frequent visitors. We truly felt they cared about us, Mom and all her loved ones. One of the therapists even took the time to visit Mom in her new facility which meant a lot. Would highly recommend to any families looking for similar rehabilitation/skilled nursing services for their loved ones.

This campus is smaller, 5 ,,,individual houses with up to 12 residents. The Aides are overworked because management is hiring 17-year-olds who cannot touch the machines used to transfer us . The care is there just delayed. Overall this facility is not perfect, but very nice. Good care, good food and good friends! Everyone is welcomed and respected upon arrival.

My aunt is staying at this nursing facility, and after visiting, I feel so confident and at ease knowing she’s in such a wonderful place. The staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The whole facility is clean and inviting, with a warm, homey atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. When you walk in, you're greeted by an open kitchen area with island seating—perfect for socializing or enjoying a cup of coffee. There's a large table for family-style meals, along with smaller tables where residents can enjoy puzzles, play cards, or get creative with crafts. Cozy chairs and a comfy couch make the common area a great spot for conversation, and there’s even an exercise bike for those who want to stay active. The staff has been amazing from the moment my Aunt was sent there up to the present day. They are always available to answer questions and are very responsive to our concerns. The ADON/MDS nurse has been very helpful to my family, being available through the questionable times. This is a great place for a family to send their loved one. They truly cater to not only the resident but the family as well. Our family truly appreciates all they have done and continue to do for our Aunt.

WOW! The nursing care is delivered so differently at Otterbein than in a traditional nursing home. Top notch care delivered in a beautiful, personal environment. There really is a "small house" difference.
