OrthoSC - Market Common

I have had issues with my back for over 30yrs. Multiple surgeries and steroids shots from a variety of different providers. Dr Mathern is hands down the best. He explains everything, how it will feel, how long it should work, when we can revisit the isuue if need be. He is informative with no surprises. From the front office, his staff, x-ray technician, they are truly awesome people. Thoughtful and caring.

I genuinely feel for anyone who goes to OrthoSC Urgent Care in Market Common expecting attentive, professional medical care. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. We were seen by Maribeth Carletta, P.A.-C., and left feeling more like a billing transaction than a patient in need of thoughtful evaluation. Healthcare should prioritize patient well-being first, not just fee collection. Sadly, the level of care we received felt mediocre at best and did not reflect the professionalism one would expect from a specialized urgent care facility. I hope the organization re-evaluates its approach to patient care and remembers that people walking through those doors are not invoices — they’re individuals looking for help.

First appointment with Dr. Mathern - very pleased! He had reviewed my patient history prior to our meeting and was interested in discussing my healthcare needs with me. He was aware and knowledgeable of my other health issues that impact my current visit. He answered my questions, offered treatment options and helped me determine our best treatment plan. He was friendly and easy to talk with.

Left reverse shoulder 12-16. Wonderful experiences with everyone but for PA at Matket Common. I will be seeing h him again next week…we will talk. He gets one star for walking in the exam room. If no improvement I will post again!! PT is wonderful also. My name is Cathy Bovee…not Thomas

Overall, I felt the experience to be a very positive experience. From scheduling, wait time, reminders, and appointment was professional and friendly. Dr Mathern was kind, knowledgeable, professional, and patient with me. His nurse was also kind and supportive.
