Dr Thornsberry replaced both my knees in 2016. Since then I have backpacked hundreds of miles on the Appalachain Trail and others. He replaced my hip in Oct 2025. He is an amazing surgeon and I have high hopes of getting back on the trail once I’m fully healed. Thank you Dr Thornsberry for again giving back my livelihood.

The staff at Ortho Georgia was great. Friendly, professional, and efficient from reception, to X-ray, med-techs, everyone I encountered. Dr Blackwell was amazing. He actually read my medical history before seeing me. He explained carpal tunnel in detail, even had a pamphlet for visual aid, explained why it was recurring in my right hand, what my options are for both hands. I'm opting for the surgery. He answered all my questions. The place is busy but not once did I feel rushed by anyone and my wait time was less than 10 minutes! Highly recommend Dr. Blackwell and Ortho Georgia!

OrthoGeorgia – Appointment Scheduling Experience This was honestly one of the worst scheduling wait times I’ve ever experienced. I had to call four separate times just to schedule an appointment. Each attempt involved being placed on hold for long periods while listening to a recording, and in some cases the call ended before I ever reached a person. When I finally did get through, I explained how excessive and frustrating the wait time had been. I want to be clear—the representative who finally answered was very nice, polite, and professional. She sincerely apologized for the wait and explained that the office was short-staffed and handling a high volume of calls. This is not a reflection on her at all; she handled the situation well.
