OrthoCareExpress: Coastal Orthopedics Urgent Care

I love Dr. Bast, this review is NOT for him, he is lovely and helped me so much back in 2022. This review is for predatory billing of the company. In March of this year I was in a lot of back pain and I went to the Norwalk location for walk-in hours. I was examined by a doctor, who had poor bedside manner, and received an Xray. Before I left, I was given a back brace to take home. I was not told how much the back brace would be and when I got the bill, they had charged $487 for the back brace, which was more than the exam and x-ray cost combined. I was baffled. Of course, my insurance did not cover this, so now I am left with a high bill. Had I been informed of the high cost of this item, I would have never taken it home. I was in so much pain at the time I did not think to ask about the c

They close at 6:30, even though the website says 7:00. Be advised. No doctors or technicians there past 6:30.

Hurt my wrist on a Sunday and went here instead of ER or traditional urgent care. Great decision. No long waits and great service.

Great, thoughtful care that allowed quick appointments - I’ve personally gone as an adult with an injury and brought my child as well. Would highly recommend!

I was seen right away and the staff was friendly and following covid guidelines. Felt very safe here.
