Orinda Optometry Group

We have been with this clinic for two years, and unfortunately our experience has been consistently disappointing. They frequently push unnecessary upsells, and more concerningly, they engage in excessive billing practices. We tried to work with them on multiple billing issues, but the problems were ongoing. It often felt like they were manipulating both insurance and clients. We are now leaving the clinic, and we want to provide an honest review to reflect our experience. It has been truly frustrating.

I've been a patient at the Orinda Optometry Group for over 15 years, going through both glasses and contacts, and I've always received excellent care. I've seen a few different doctors and they have all been kind, patient, and thorough. They offer two different imaging options for photographing the eye and always show me comparisons between my original images and the current ones. They've never pressured me to buy new frames and always offer a complimentary service to clean and tighten my current frames. Overall a great service.

I have been going to Orinda Optometry Group for 14 years, and they have always provided me great service and advice. Dr. Eng is a consummate professional - she is attentive, and explains in detail the condition of my eyes and things I need to be aware of as I grow older and my eyes change. Dr. Hale is equally attentive and diligent, and the last visit, he went out of his way to make me feel comfortable and welcome.

The Doctors and entire staff are great. They do a thorough exam to make sure your eyes are healthy and you are seeing well. It also doesn't hurt that I work down the street so they are super convenient. Two of my co-workers also use the Orinda Optometry Group and are very happy with the service and care they receive.

I've been a patient of Orinda Optometry Group for decades and have seen all of the doctors over the years. I hadn't met Dr. Hale until this last visit and was extremely pleased with the experience. It goes beyond the perfunctory to a thorough exam and engaging discussion of options and ideas that are very helpful input to decisions that I will need to make in the future.
