Optum Women's Imaging and Bone Density-Lake Success

The staff here is very welcoming, professional and personable. A special "shout-out" to the mammogram technician, Alicia Jaggie. I have been fortunate enough to have experienced her exceptional expertise a few times. She makes the experience as tolerable as possible with a relaxed demeanor and calm encouragement.

Been meaning to post this awhile now as I had thought of this experience in my mind a few months now so I am posting now.. Waited in the waiting area where I was the only person there, sat right in front view of the front desk. There were two ladies at the front however they were chatting about their personal lives which I didn't want to interrupt however I was still not acknowledged even after they moved onto a new topic. Left after another 10 minutes of being ignored. Rude and unprofessional. Other ProHEALTH departments staff are wonderful such as the Pimary Care and Ob Gyn. Just a heads up that if you schedule a surgery with ProHEALTH, you may end up paying for an anesthesiologist and his/her supervisor - yes you end up paying ProHEALTH teaching sessions too. I didn't have a problem making an appointment. My experience wasn't that great though. Long story short, I was due for a breast exam. I had the exam with imaging. They called me back. They didn't say much and made me wait over an hour in the office to reexamine me. Doctor had no bedside manner. I don't remember what she said because it was awhile ago. But she should have explained why they called me back etc...They had me concerned that they found something. I remember asking the assistant questions after the doctor left because I was shocked at how quick she was with me after making me wait so long. I will not be going back there.

This place is very unprofessional. I had a 10:15 AM appointment. Did not get called in until 11:05. Sat in the "waiting" area with my robe until 11:19. At this point my husband texted me to let me know they had called our HOME to tell me they needed to cancel my test! I was in the back waiting room, undressed...couldn't they come and tell me in person OR at least call my CELL. After I spoke to my husband, I got dressed and had to find someone to ask for my prescription back so I can go somewhere else for my bone scan and mammography. This is so absurd! Think twice before you make an appointment here.

Prohealth has had a lot of issues during the pandemic with answering phone calls. I’ve been calling this place for an appointment for weeks and no one ever answers and I’m on hold forever. When I leave my phone number for a callback, no one even bothers to call back either.
