Optum Primary Care - Zionsville

I love Michelle. She is so good. She is better than any doctor. I like most of the front desk staff. Karen and Whitney are great. It is not 5 stars because Dr. Adams wouldn't order an MRI when I fell . I eventually found out I had a broken pelvis. My husband found out he had diabetes. Dr Adams knew it , or should have known it . 6 months ago and didn't bother to tell us. Glad he is no longer there.

Dr Jacob was a wonderful doctor but I had to quit this practice because of administrative annoyances every step of the way in my care. They didn’t take all the blood samples they needed on a fasting lab draw. They can’t seem to fax the orders for my draws at Labcorp. I have to ask every time for results to be shared to the patient portal. I was called with my results 6 weeks after my blood draw. 30 minutes to get an EKG set up. Unfriendly front staff. Ten strikes and you’re out.

My family has been going to AHN which is now Optum for many years since we live in Zionsville. Our PCPs Dr. Behrad, Jacob and Adams are good primary doctors. However, I have always had issues with their wait time especially when Dr. McDaniel who is retired was my PCP. I had an annual physical appointment today with Angela Yang, the nurse practitioner becase Dr. Adsms did not have any time until January of 2025. My appointment was at 11am. I arrived before 10:55. One of the front desk people was not at her desk and the other one was on the phone. I waited almost 10 minutes before she asked me my name and gave me some papers to sign. Then I waited until 11:20 before a nurse took me into the room to test my intellect by telling me to draw a clock with hands at 10 minutes past 10 and re

Doctors only care about charging money. They don’t listen and do not care. Needed a pre-authorization form and never received a call it was denied and to explore other options. Found out it was denied by insurance company. Dr McDaniels was the best, but retired. Avoid at all costs

My first experience with the place last year resulted in a letter for another patient in my house full of confidential information. Even to give it back to them was super hard. Professionalism and safety are not their main concern there. Nor flexibility or hard work. The nurse that took my blood tests was supreme. The savior of that place. Find somewhere else.
