Optum Pediatrics - Huntington

This practice is excellent! I previously went to another pediatric office with my daughter and I’m so happy to have made the switch. My daughter has gotten such excellent care at optum and we are so appreciative of everyone in this office! Dr. Lanzillotta is the absolute best! My daughter has been seeing her for the past year, and I am always so appreciative of her kindness and patience. When my daughter was slow to gain weight, she was so helpful. I was so anxious and stressed and she met us with such compassion and encouragement. She really supported us in staying the course with breastfeeding, which was so important to me, and celebrated the small victories with us. She’s so kind and friendly with my daughter, and always answers my (many) questions and concerns with patience and care.

Really disappointed that they’ve switched over to the “call center” model, and you can’t call the office and speak to the front desk or a nurse. When I just tried to call to follow up about an earlier call that was never returned, I had to follow several prompts and then got an automated messages saying that “Mondays are high call volume days” and to call back a different day if possible, and then there was a wait to speak with someone. I called at 7:30 this morning and spoke to the answering service to see if I could bring my daughter in at 8:00 for an emergency appointment - it’s now 4 hours later, and I never received a call back. This also happened several weeks ago when I tried to get through to someone on the weekend when they were open - both times I called, there was a 10+ minut

This review is so long overdue - all of the doctors here are fantastic and go above and beyond for their patients! On two different occasions they have stayed open for me: when my daughter was a newborn Dr. Lanzillotta kept the office open later on a Saturday to make we were seen promptly, and then Dr. Fleischer stayed open past hours a few years later on a Friday night (with Dr. Jose) to properly care for my daughter again. I didn't feel rushed out or like they were bothered by the fact that they were supposed to be closed! In fact, I could tell that they felt bad for me in what turned into a stressful situation. They are caring, compassionate, and always have my kids best interest in mind. The office staff there are also amazing, which I don't find at a lot of the other doctor's offices

We have been going to this office for 10 years now. Every doctor has treated one of my twins at some point. They are caring, knowledgeable, extremely thorough and really have gotten to know my girls. I highly recommend Dr. Fleischer, Lanzillotta or Jose. You can’t go wrong with any of them.

They have been the best pediatricians to my 2 boys. Dr Fleicher was able to diagnose my son’s rare kidney disease based on symptoms over the phone and had us go immediately to the ER. Usually kids with this get misdiagnosed for weeks, but she is really on it and has great bedside manner.
