I am having a horrible experience with this office. I am new here as my original pediatricians office closed very quickly over Christmas. This office does not have a direct line, it’s very challenging to get a same day appointment and worst of all I am still waiting for them to complete a medical note for my child so that he can return to school. I have been waiting over a week and he has been out of school for over a week. They told me they would have it for me days ago. This office is just awful. I’m so furious that they lied and said they would have it to me last Thursday ( today is Monday) and I’m still waiting. Awfullll office . what kind of pediatrician office has no direct line? The place is a hot mess.

Dr. Justin Chen was thorough when he did a physical check to determine the cause of my Nay’s hip pain. What I appreciate the most is that, like my PCP, Dr. Chen himself called twice to share the blood test results. He added tests for iron, B12 and vitamin D levels after ruling out rhabdomyolysis from the first set of tests. Doctors who do not delegate calls to inform their patients regarding blood test results, like Dr. Chen and my PCP, undoubtedly distinguish themselves from the rest of their counterparts!Nowadays, they are rare!! Before having consulted with Dr. Chen, I concluded that my PCP was the only doctor who calls to convey test results. My PCP belongs to my baby boomers’ generation. Dr. Chen is generations younger; hence, he’s a gem of a find in my book!

This review is regarding an Urgent Care visit. The first issue is that they closed a number of facilities in Queens & Nassau. To save time, I used the website to schedule a time. When we arrived for the visit, I was told that we didn't have an appointment for Saturday but we had an appointment for next Saturday. When I went into the portal, I did see that the default appointment date was for next Saturday. I asked the receptionist why would someone make an Urgent Care appointment for a week in advance and the answer was 'people do it all the time'. This is Urgent Care? The medical assistant didn't identify himself and I didn't see a visible ID. When the doctor arrived in the room, she identified herself and provided a quality visit.

Doctor Yia is a great doctor but, MICHELLE the representative that answered the phone when I was calling the office regarding a prescription was the rudest representative I've gotten in a very long time. She was unreluctant to properly assist me when I simply asked for the office's fax number. First, she said the number at 100 mph then when I asked for her to slowly repeat the number, she said it obnoxiously slow. I hope she gets fired because it is obvious that she hates to do her job. 0/10 experience with Michelle.

Very convenient place for medical appointments. The young man who takes blood tests on third floor can be a little more friendly and not be so aggressive with the needle.
