Open Door Pediatrics

Dr. Reed went above and beyond to help me when I desperately needed it. He is truly a gem, and really really listened to me and treated me as a whole not just the issue I went in with. I seriously can't convey enough how incredible my experience with him was. He was knowledgeable, extremely caring, compassionate and helpful, direct when I needed it lol, and made me feel comfortable and hopeful which is not typically how I feel in a doctors office. I've had some great care at open door in general, but this Dr. Is truly special and anyone would be so lucky to get to see him!

My wife got very bad reaction for an insulin pen, a reaction that could kill her! She had to reach out open door over the phone to request prescription change. Non of her messages were reached her awesome doctor that she really likes and trust. Non! I had to call myself and scream at them with my male voice i guess and tell them that I am her husband. Only then they listen. Are they not respecting or taking serious a soft gentle woman voice? Just a question.

Many of the doctors have not acknowledged their biases toward poor people, women, and people of color. Therefore, they provide poor treatment or no treatment to people in marginalized groups. It saddens me that these doctors behave in ways that abuse their power and authority. They push back on anyone who questions them and their patients suffer because of their lack of self-reflection and personal growth.

Avoid Elizabeth Rubin, she is a bully she does not support breastfeeding, she uses threats and pressure to try and force new mothers not to breastfeed.MORE IMPORTANTLY She failed to run tests as urgent like we told her and the hospital that baby was born said to for jaundice which resulted in my baby having to be hospitalized almost twice we had to seek out different doctors to get her helped. We kept calling to get the baby in and Elizabeth felt she was fine no need to worry. She ordered a blood test said it was run stat and not to worry wr would hear back if there was a problem. We didnt hear back then 3 days later we get a call telling us to go straight to the hospital the bloodwork got run but never opened so we never got a call luckily I had been messaging a different pediatrician i

The ray of sunshine who calls you,always calls as she is leaving so you can imagine how much she just wants to hang up. My teen has genetic high cholesterol yet they won't give me a referral for a cardiologist,even though I have private insurance and will pay for it! what do they care, they obviously are not into preventative care.
