Okeechobee Health Care Facility

We stopped by Okeechobee Health Care Facility without calling ahead-unannounced. The building looks older from the outside, but inside it was very clean and orderly. The staff we passed in the halls were professional and busy with their care. Overall, it made a very good impression on us. If you’re considering a place for a loved one, it’s worth dropping in to see for yourself. - a place where people really care.

I was very disappointed in my mother care at Okeechobee health care facility during her rehabilitation stay. She did not receive the proper cleaning of herself from the CNA’s nor was her rehabilitation getting her in the right direction to be able to take care of herself. After 3 full days I moved her to a better facility

I was in this facility in May 2025. I was there for rehab after a revision knee surgery. I’ll have to say that the director of the Physical Therapy department is not a very nice person. One of her staff members yelled at me, told me I wasn’t participating And they dismissed me from Physical Therapy. I had to go to the director of the facility in order to get physical therapy. As of right now, I fell and broke my hip, I requested to go there for Physical Therapy and they denied my request.. The reason they gave was “they could not handle me“. I’m not sure what that means. The only real good nurse there is Dylan. He truly cares about the people under his care. I suppose they remembered me and denied my request for Physical Therapy because I went over the directors head and remained there for

The level of genuine care and love my grandmother and my attending family received were absolutely fabulous. The staff was so kind, compassionate and caring.

I visit my friend at the facility.I have known her for 50 years.She needs to be with people,not at home alone.She loves it there.Everyone is so nice to me when I visit. And I feel she is in Great hands Thanks to the wonderful people 💗
