Customer Reviews
We had a fabulous experience with OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. The valley is always very friendly and helpful. The doctors and nursing staff are friendly and helpful. It was our first experience being admitted onto the ward. My child was supported and entertained! They had a video game specialist come by and they left a video game system in the room for them it play with. We didn’t feel like they were in a hurry to discharge them! I was very impressed with our time there
My son was an Oncology Hematology patient at Doernbechers Children's Hospital. He had a wonderful care team at that department. The staff were very knowledgeable and compassionate. During his years of treatment it was a very stressful, scary time, and they made him as comfortable as possible at all times.
I have been to Doernbecher multiple times, but this was the first time I’ve been there for a surgery for one of my children, and I have to say that every staff I encountered there was amazing. They work with children very well and they kept us informed the whole time I have not had one complaint about them at all.
Dr.Shan in GI department was not a good experience for us. He talked very quickly had a thick accent, did not ask if we had questions or even allow time for us to ask. When I expressed concerns about a medications side effects he pushed back from his computer and said for me to tell him the side effects then. I asked him if he could tell me and then I'll tell him which ones I was concerned about. He got so mad he huffed a loud breathe fogging his glasses then rolled back to his computer and changed the subject without answering me. I will not give my child a medication without discussing it further and he was not willing to accept that push back. We hope to never see him again.
Hospital is great... however the parking needs to be more than one floor....and the construction going on there they need to fix the roads and have better flaggers the roads in and out gets so backed up text half an hour for people to get in and out.... Other than that the doctors and staff are very nice and helpful
