Ochsner Urgent Care - Houma

I was seen by Dr crochet on jan 20 2026 and blatantly tested positive for the flu but when it came time to prescribing medicine I was only prescribed Mucinex DM even after we stated that someone else in the household tested positive for the flu the day before and was prescribed Tamiflu I was still not prescribe the correct medication and had to go back in to see another doctor to get my correct medication I think this is ridiculous and I feel like it was done on purpose.... and the doctor that we seen tonight was very professional and even as a preventative swapped my wife and gave her flu medicine as well this is ridiculous that they have doctors working in facilities like this it doesn't take a degree to know that textbook procedure when you test positive for the flu is to prescribe for

The care my son received this evening was nothing short of 5 stars. He threw up in the waiting room and the nice lady at the front desk was so kind about cleaning it even though i was almost in tears from embarrassment. The nurse who triaged us was very nice as well. We saw Abby, PA and she was very kind, caring and attentive. She made sure to explain after care instructions and took her time examining my son. We were in and out quickly but received very thorough care. 10/10 recommend

It’s a 3-4 hr wait time, got Covid tested (negative) and a check up for the cough. I did get taken care of, you just got to have A LOT of patients and don’t come in hungry like I did🤤

First off I’m not one to complain about stuff like this but man this was one of the worse visits I’ve ever had. The wait time was 2 hours so we waited in the car. Once the doctor came in he asked how old my kids were, they were never weighed to make sure their info was right in the system. He just quickly looked in each of our ears and listened to our breathing and sent us off on our way with meds. Didn’t sit down to ask about symptoms or nothing. Just put that we all had pharyngitis and that was it. I was really amazed how fast the appointment went once we were in the back after waiting 2 hours. I definitely won’t be going back here. Glad everyone else had a better experience than us!
