Ochsner Pharmacy & Wellness - Kenner

An inquiry was made about my prescription. A co-pay of $12.65 was assessed and required before my prescription could be delivered (when I complained about the co-pay, no offer was made for co-pay assistance as stated on Ochsner's website). I called back on Friday to authorize the payment from my debit card. Delivery was scheduled for Saturday, the next day. It never occurred to me to check my account until I actually received the package. I then noticed that there were duplicate charges for a single prescription. In other words, there was and still is an unauthorized charge of $12.65 that has not been refunded. Everyone makes mistakes. So I decided to followup. Switching pharmacies as I have never had anyone be as rude to me as the people answering phones and working the front. Today I called to ask if they offered curbside pick up (which is stated on their website) because I broke my ankle. The lady on the phone sounded bothered and informed me that they only offer that for “senior citizens.” She did say that they would bring it out provided it wasn’t raining. I ended up pushing my scooter up there because they made me feel like such an inconvenience and like I was asking for too much. I now understand that they do not really care about their patients and are more worried about making their own job easier. Worst pharmacy experience ever.

I love Ochsner pharmacy. They always have my prescription ready on time or a few days before and they are so quick. They get you in and out in a timely manner. Best pharmacy.

I was hospitalized due to a motorcycle accident and once I left Ochsner Rehabilitation Center my wife had to go to Ochsner main campus to pickup my prescriptions for pain. They offered me 7 days for less than $4 dollars but gave my wife the option for 10 day supply at cash value of $45. I had her get 10 day supply because insurance would only allow 7 days at a time. I can’t walk so 10 days worked better for the extra money. Once I ran out I only had 4 days of medicine left so it was called into Ochsner Kenner Pharmacy because it’s close to my house. They charged my wife $45 for 4 days supply. I am still not able to walk and have a 6 month old baby so couldn’t go myself. She went today to ask why we where charged $45 for 4 days.
