Ochsner LSU Health - Urgent Care, Shreveport

10/11/2025 @ 12:30pm I was refused treatment today because the front desk staff claimed my condition is related to workers’ compensation and I couldn’t use my insurance. I’m in significant pain, and the person at the front desk stated I need to bring in paperwork before being seen. I work 12-hour shifts with barely one day off, and being denied care over paperwork is unacceptable. To my understanding, I can pay out of pocket and be reimbursed later — there is no reason my treatment should be delayed. I need to speak with someone competent who can address this issue immediately and ensure I receive the medical attention and medication I need.

Oh….! Lets begin! Dr. Lori! The PA that you are! Do you even care about the people you see with that snarky little attitude of yours!! I was there for hours, while everyone I saw was GREAT until YOU. Oh, you need your license revoked of how you treat the patients you see. The attitude and disrespect. Upon seeing you, you saw me for not even 1 minute and treated me with pure disrespect when I was telling you my symptoms. Then when discharging me when I was voicing my concerns you were very disrespectful again! Also, you prescribed me nothing to help my issue! I had a severe sinus infection with night sweats and other severe symptoms and you prescribed me Cough medicine, which during my infection I had coughed probably once or twice and Flonase. I got caught up in my dog’s leash while being barefoot and she changed directions. two toes were bent backwards almost to the top of my foot. Basically my two of my toes were dislocated at each joint and my toes looked tike the number “7”. Was in a lot of pain with a lot of swelling. Couldn’t get it xrayed because there was no technician there that day. Got put into a boot that was very awkward to walk in, so I was asked if I wanted crutches, because I looked like a toddler trying to take my first steps. I told her only if I could get the ones the attach at the forearm and was told they didn’t have those. The last time I had the regular crutches that went under my arms, my hand would get numb. I know I was using them wrongly, but after a good while walking with them, I was getting tired.

Me, My Daughter, and Husband waited almost 4 hours for our daughter’s appointment. I don’t recommend going to this hospital this is a very horrible hospital especially the wait time and it’s barely people here for an appointment or walk-in for if there sick. Once again I don’t recommend you have been warned!.

The receptionist here is extremely rude. I went in and was not greeted the same as the 2 other people in line before me, she was very cheerful with her hellos and I got nothing, I hope it’s not due to my skin color. I also had to call back the next day because my prescription was messed up and she was rude on the phone, not letting me ask questions when I was confused on what was said without cutting me off. I told her I didn’t appreciate it and I still was met with rudeness. Worst customer service experience I ever had with oschner .
