Special thanks to *PACU* My stay at Ochsner was great. I had surgery on 2/23/2026. It turned out wonderful. This is one of my several surgeries included child birth. I wanna give a shout out to all parties involved surgery team, med team, hospital team, housekeeping aids, even the kitchen food was delicious. Special thanks to PACU again for taking care of me. They are a wonderful example of working together to get the patient the care they need. Staff need raises and recommendations! ~Casandra Thompson

i’ve now had two separate experiences at LSU Health Shreveport, and both were deeply upsetting. Most recently, I was there to check on a friend whose foot was run over during a parade — a genuinely traumatic incident. Instead of being treated with empathy, she was placed on a psychiatric hold and there were attempts to send her to Brentwood for 72 hours, simply because she was reacting to the trauma she had just gone through. This exact situation happened before when I was there with my boyfriend. Same outcome, same assumptions, same lack of listening. The police officer involved was extremely rude, showed no empathy, and spoke to us in a way that felt dismissive and judgmental. Staff repeatedly assumed we were lying, refused to listen, and treated the patient as if she was the problem

My daughter was moved to the Orthopedic floor of the hospital in November of 2025. And was there until 1/23/26. From the doctors to housekeeping took exceptional care of my daughter. The nurses became more like close friends or family. Thank you so much to the Orthopedic team for all you have done for my family. I hope you all continue to care for others as you have my daughter. Thank you

I will be filing a formal complaint, but wanted to leave a review as well. I never do this. Ever. I would love to give more stars because the registration lady was so comforting and nice as well as the drs and nurses once we got to a room. Now once I got into triage with my in respiratory distress special needs HEART PATIENT one year old, the woman that got his history was insanely rude. I, in the year of being to numerous doctors, hospitals, quick cares even, have I EVER been spoken to this way. While I’m alone and sobbing already and just trying to answer questions required. I was talked down to, degraded, cut off when answering questions SHE asked, made to feel a nuisance, and she even raised her voice at me because I apparently wasn’t weighing him correctly when I was doing what she sa

My son was in a horrible motorcycle accident Sat Nov 15, 2025 was taken to Ochsner LSU for trauma. I want to express my gratefulness to the trauma team, surgeons , nurses , doctors, cnas and all the other staff that provided professional , compassionate , respectful and exceptional care to not only my son but to myself & my family. We are forever grateful for the quick care and surgeries my son received to save his life. We have a long road to recovery but I’ve found Ochsner care is 24/7 for every question I’ve had along with explaining things to help us better understand the procedures he has endured. Your staff sees this kind of trauma daily but your staff understood how traumatic it was for my son’s family and was quick to help reassure us he would be ok once he recovers . Thank you fr
