Ochsner Health Center - Gonzales

This is an absolutely beautiful new two-story building! Free parking with lots of space. For those needing a wheelchair there are quite a few at the entrance. Inside you will find over 20 exam rooms, a lab, and radiology department for MRI’s and Mammograms. The interior decorator did a fantastic job with the artwork. The seating arrangement takes into account the need to stay socially distanced. There are counters (with chairs) for those who need a place to charge laptops/phones. And as with all Ochsner facilities, the receptionists and medical staff are always very welcoming, and personable.

Having the need for an MRI I was assigned to this facility which I was not aware of it at all since I reside in Baton Rouge and have always used the Medical Center for all health matters. The procedure was assigned here due to the fac that I could be seen much sooner than at any in BR and there was a certain urgency to get it done. I went this past Thursday and from the moment my wife and I entered the building we were taken back by the condition of the premises and then the employees, including the Security Guards that we conversed with. At check-in we were received by a young lady whose demeanor and prompt service was unique and very welcomed. Then as we got to meet the lady that was going to put me through the process, Amber, things got even better as she was so sweet and knowledgeabl

I had my mammogram at Ochsner Gonzales yesterday and had a great experience. I had a terrible experience at a different place last year and was feeling anxious about my appointment. The staff member (I wish I had her name!) was wonderful. She was efficient and empathetic. I highly recommend this location for mammography.

I walked in and was greeted by 2 friendly and knowledgeable registration clerks. I received my mammogram from a very friendly mammographer. I proceeded to get bloodwork completed also since I was there. I was met by the rudest, most unprofessional phlebotomist ever in life. She basically told me that she did not have time for me (I am a very hard stick) bc she had others waiting. She never even looked at me nor my veins. Due to her demeanor, I refused to let her touch me with a needle. This place needs a new phlebotomist!!!
