Last night 3/3/26 we took our mom to urgent care because we thought she had fallen and hit her head because she had a bump on her head. Urgent care said we had to take her to the hospital, seems like if you are over 65 and fall and hit your head it is required that you get a C-scan, my mom is 98 years old. My sister and I took her to Ochsner Baptist on Napoleon Avenue, that was the best decision because she was treated well. She told the nurse which was a male nurse that she was hungry because of Urgent care and now Emergency Room she hadn’t eaten. He said, give me a little time and I will find something for you to eat.Within 10 minutes he came back with Graham crackers and apple juice. His name is Gilbert(Don’t know if that’s his first or last name) but I want him to know that Mrs. Ruth a

Thanks to all the doctors and nurses that took care of Mr. Reggie! Also, I would like to give a special thanks to all the wonderful staff and security members that worked at this center. Everyone was kind and respectful of their patients. During the time it was winter and Covid-19 was still a thing, plus Mister Reggie was omitted due to the virus. But in all and all he was provided with a nice clean room and also given meals daily! He almost stayed in the hospital for 2 weeks and not once did he say he had an issue whatsoever. Thanks again to everyone and bless you all!!!

The Ochsner system has failed me. For starters, you are never able to call your doctor’s office directly - all calls are directed through a call center where you can “leave a message” for your doctor’s office for them to call you back. If you miss that precious callback, oh well - time to do it all over again! And don’t even get me started on chronic illnesses. The doctors don’t actually try to find solutions to help you, or treat the root cause. Instead they just send you to someone else, who then says you’re “fine”. But what about the fact that I don’t feel well??? Seems they don’t care. The fact that these mega corporations are taking over the healthcare system is deeply saddening to me. I’m switching to a private primary care practice in hopes there are still some decent healthcare

My appointment was scheduled for 10 am. I was put in an exam room approximately a half hour later. Told to put on gown. It was cold and at 10:55, which was well past my appointment time, I put my clothes on and left. I had prechecked in and paid my copay. Dr. Monique Hamilton never came to the room to see me. The service was very unprofessional and I will not be using this doctor or facility again.
