Oceanside Dental and Orthodontics

I love Oceanside and so do my 3 kids. We’ve never had any issues with them and been going there for 8 years. The staff is all very sweet.

⭐☆☆☆☆ This experience was extremely disappointing and honestly infuriating. We brought our two children in for what should have been routine care: cleanings, X-rays, and sealants. We do not have dental insurance and paid 100% out of pocket. The total bill came to $1,118 $559 each kid for a routine visit. I’m appalled. That price is outrageous for basic pediatric dental services. What makes it worse is that we were never given an itemized receipt or a clear explanation of what we were being charged for. We were simply handed a total and expected to pay it, which we did. As a parent, that feels deceptive and disrespectful. When you’re paying cash, transparency is not optional. At one point we truly loved Oceanside Dental but our experience has turned into one far less than stellar. Our daughter was recommended for their Orthodontics - which if your child needs braces, STEER CLEAR and go somewhere else. Between 2-3 different orthodontists, all giving completely different directions, but also rarely being available for appointments - we missed a tremendous about of school and work. Not only was the majority of our vacation time used on these appointments, our daughter ended up not needing braces. During this timeframe, we had set up a payment plan for her treatment. The staff and Dr. Soto were absolutely wonderful with my son. They made sure he was comfortable from start to finish. Everyone was kind and caring. 10/10!

My experience with Oceanside Dental has been concerning due to ongoing communication issues and lack of follow-through. I began the process of seeking braces for my daughter through this office, but the treatment process and timeline were not clearly explained. We attended several scheduled appointments where staff appeared uncertain about prior steps in the treatment plan, resulting in repeated rescheduling because required items had not been completed beforehand.
