We had an early morning appointment, arrived on time. The receptionist asks us to sign in on the tablet and fill out the paperwork and asks for insurance. I say we left our insurance card at home but I have a picture of it that has all the info she will need. She refuses and says it’s a new policy that we need to bring the physical card, saying that we received a text about it. (Upon checking, we did receive a text about an hour prior to the appointment, that ironically said that we can email a copy of the card 2 days prior to the appointment..but we only now know of this, anyway..), but it was hectic and we must’ve missed it.
