I was admittedly skeptical about a chemo cream (fluorouracil 5%) that might work on a squamous cell cancer on my right cheekbone but I was looking at Mohs, and then possible plastic surgery. Nobody wants their face cut into, if there’s an alternative. I applied the cream every night for 4 weeks and went back for an evaluation. 🤞🏼 It worked! During that visit, Cyndi noticed a flaky patch on the bridge of my nose. I had been treating it with a moisturizer. She said to use the cream, so here we go again! Six weeks later, both small spots look MUCH better but ever so slightly pink, easily covered with makeup. I go back in March for a reevaluation and full body check.
