Novant Health Urgent Care – Surfside (Formerly Doctors Care)

We’re not from around here, just a family on vacation, trying to enjoy the beach… until my son decided to catch more than fish and got a hook embedded in his finger. Enter Dr. Dixon: calm, cool, and completely unbothered by the fact that I had trimmed the hook down to “impossible to remove” levels. She worked her magic like a fishing ninja and got it out without breaking a sweat. The whole time she had the perfect mix of humor, compassion, and Jedi-level precision. Honestly, if I could pack her up and take her back home with us, I would. And just when I thought the care was over, BOOM! Two days later, she calls to check in on my son. That’s next-level care. Most places are like, “Good luck, buddy!” after you leave. Not here. 10/10 would recommend, even if you’re just visiting and accide

I don't remember the doctor's name when I first came to this clinic. I have to look at my paperwork. I was diagnosed with covid and influenza b at the same time, which is rare. I clearly was going to get a secondary infection. I already had a very bad cough. I was not given antibiotics. Of course three days later im back because I was not getting better. I had a secondary infection what a shocker. Luckily a different doctor was competent enough to give me antibiotics plus she was very nice. The wait was long, especially since I was exposing everybody in the waiting room with covid and influenza B. I shouldn't have had to come back a second time, being as sick and contagious as I was, because the first doctor did not give proper treatment.

This is the worst company to go to. The doctor never even looked at my granddaughters head and then proceeded to prescribe the wrong prescription .When I told them the next day they ordered another one and would not pay for the wrong one which thank god I did not give her. When I tried to file a complaint with Novant it was a circus and then they never even responded. Don't go there.

CAUTION BEWARE - RIP OFF!!! I went in for flu symptoms, got a flu and COVID test and was diagnosed with the flu. THE TOTAL CHARGES WERE $808!!!!! I thought the $88 co-pay would be it but NO it was over $800 to sit in a room for 20 minutes and get a couple swabs! This is egregious! I have great insurance, they adjusted it down $254.10 and paid $201.71 but I am still going to end up paying over $350 out of pocket for this! What a SCAM!!!!!!! BEWARE!!!! This is NOT the MinuteClinic. On the plus side the provider was kind and attentive but overall I would have preferred to not know what was wrong with me than to have to pay this crazy amount! Never again!

The staff there is always great. They were having some technical difficulties with the computer system, but did the best they could to accommodate us and get us in and out as quickly as possible. Overall, it is always a good experience. With a little bit of patience, you’ll be seen within a reasonable amount of time, even when something like this happens. The demeanor of the staff and the doctors there is always friendly and professional.
