Novant Health Urgent Care – Dorchester Road (Formerly Doctors Care)

I came in for shortness of breath and waited for an hour to be called. A lady with a sprained foot came in 10-15 minutes after me and was called before me. I sat in the lobby struggling to breathe the entire time. When I finally got to the back the assistant told me she didn't know if this office had a nebulizer machine and when I asked her if she could ask for me she told me to ask the doctor whenever I got the chance to see him. The front desk lady (with the short Jeri curl slick back) was also very nice nasty. I feel as if no one took my concerns seriously. I am very upset by this because I work in health care and I would not treat my patients the way I was treated today. The doctor also did not know what a duo neb was or how to use it and after I begged for a treatment he told me tha

I wasn't happy with the service that I received. The people are nice and friendly, but the wait times take longer than promised. Also I was billed for 3 visits in which I did not feel better and the medicine that was prescribed did not work. I was forced to pay the whole thing in full, and could not pay in installments even if I wanted to. All in all I would not recommend.

The PA and staff did a great job treating me quickly and proving immediate relief in the office with a breathing treatment and xray to determine pneumonia. I started feeling better within 3 days of medications

This place is an absolute scam. Paid $200 for nothing, they couldn’t tell me what’s wrong with me, couldn’t do bloodwork or take an xray. $200 for over an hour of wasted time and no help. Run far away from this place. — edit: we ending up going to the ER and all I had was a sinus infection. Not sure why they couldn’t do a simple sinus infection diagnosis at urgent care. Absolutely pathetic

This place is just out to make money. Corporate medicine. I went in simply to get a script for Physical Therapy. I live in Philadelphia where my doctor wrote a script but that script is no good in South Carolina where I am visiting. This place wanted to run all kinds of expensive test like X-Rays but could not tell me if Medicare would pay for the test. So I left with nothing. I should have went to Roper St. Francis Urgent Care but they were too busy at the time. Stay away from places like this and go to Urgent Care Centers run by hospitals.
