Novant Health Specialty Pharmacy - Shipyard

This pharmacy is worse than Walgreens. They are really slow. There no such thing as STAT. Depending who is working in the back, you could be there 30-45 minutes waiting on a prescription that should be ready. And it’s not the pharmacy’s fault but the new insurance plans don’t cover nothing you need.

I don’t write reviews. Ever. The lady behind the counter with all the tattoos has a TERRRIBLE attitude. Then she had the AUDACITY to say out loud what my prescription was and that my “insurance probably won’t cover it because they don’t like it if you take that medication 3 times a day”. For everyone there to hear. guess what my insurance covered it fine and it’s my first time being re prescribed said medication in 4 years. Who the hell does she think she is?

They are friendly for the most part. However, this pharmacy has severe communication issues. My prescriptions are never ready when I arrive for pickup, regardless of if it was requested two days or a week prior. I don't think they start filling my prescriptions until I am there to pick up. Also, if you choose to pick up at the 17th Street kiosk, there are no text notifications sent, so you have to play guessing games about whether your order is actually there. And, don't be surprised if you ask for in store pickup and they've been sent to the kiosk or vice versa.

Whoever is in charge here has no business running a pharmacy. Only come here if you have lots of free time to deal with the constant issues that youll inevitably have with your prescriptions from this place.

Employees don’t seem to know the computer system. There is ALWAYS a mixup or they can’t find your prescription (even if you give them a heads up before you come. I would set aside at least 30 minutes for picking up a prescription—even when they tell you it’s ready for pickup.
