NOVA Patient Care | Primary & Urgent Care in Woodbridge, VA

I visited NovaCare today with my mom, and we had a wonderful experience. The customer service was excellent from start to finish. The staff was professional, caring, and attentive, and the level of treatment we received exceeded our expectations. We felt well taken care of and fully satisfied with the visit.

It’s hard to find a good primary care provider—one who truly listens and genuinely helps. I decided to switch primary doctors after my husband recommended Nova Patient Care on Woodbridge, I called today and was pleasantly surprised that I was able to be seen the very same day. The new patient process was incredibly easy. As soon as I arrived for my appointment, I was checked in quickly with hardly any wait time. Soojin Kim, MSN, FNP-BC, lives by her philosophy: *“My goal is to provide comprehensive, preventive, and patient-centered care that empowers individuals to take control of their health through education and lifestyle changes.”* And that’s exactly what she did. I finally feel like I’ve found a nurse practitioner who truly cares. Highly recommend!

I scheduled back-to-back appointments for my elderly parents on the same day. When they arrived, they were told that only one had an appointment that day, and the other was scheduled for the following day. I provided screenshots confirming both appointments and spoke directly with the front desk, but the issue was dismissed and handled without concern or accountability. If this is the level of organization and care shown on a first visit, I am not confident in how more serious health matters would be handled. I will not subject my parents to this type of experience and would not recommend this clinic, especially for elderly patients who require reliability and respect.

Phone appt with Dr Dewitt in a different office. He is wonderful. The providers and staff have always been kind, respectful, and professional. The paperwork and back office still disorganized and chaotic at my location. Getting better I think, but always takes extra effort to get things done. I’m still hanging in there because I really like the people.

They will not correct their billing error so that Medicare will pay for the tests my surgeon ordered. I have called twice and left the information in writing in his patient portal, but they still refuse to correct the errors. So I am responsible for payment, even though Medicare should cover the tests. This is not acceptable. Plus, they sent test results via regular email. Not secure. I will remove this review if they fix their billing errors, but I won't go back to this doctor because of this even though I liked him. I won't spend all this time trying to get simple errors fixed.
