NOVA Patient Care | Primary & Urgent Care in Old Town, Alexandria

Visit on 01/30/2026 People are probably tired of reading how exceptional I feel Dr. DeWitte, is. He is certainly the model by which all physicians should be treating their patients. I decided that posting a simple note on Google Reviews is not enough and plan to write my insurance company as well as NOVA Patient Care how thankful I am for him. --------------------------- Visit on 01/09/2026 Dr. DeWitte is an absolutely exceptional physician, with an incredible 'bed side' manner. He has a plethora of knowledge and experience and thoroughly explains things on a level that non-medical field trained individuals can understand. I will go out of my way to travel to whereever he may be to always get his wisdom, knowledge, and advice!

From the front desk, to the doctors (particularly Dr. Purnima Joshi and Dr. Warren Henslee), and ending with the admin staff (led by Farhan), Nova Patient Care is one of the best family practices in northern Virginia. The staff are truly caring and professional, and having multiple locations, access to virtual appointment and on-site lab services is a great advantage and makes it very accessible and easy to get excellent care with minimal wait times.

The doctor I saw was nice enough but the care is not at all what I would expect from a Primary Care establishment. My first appointment which I was expecting to be a physical was actually a "consultation/preliminary" visit. I was charged $400+ for this and no care was given. I was charged $18 or a mental health assessment that I filled out online on my own. I received a prescription for meds which has never been filled because the doctors office refused to update it/did not get back to the pharmacy when contacted. Multiple attempts on my part to rectify and no answers were received. My second visit which was the actual physical they performed an EEG which is not typical practice and then charged me for it. I visited this NOVA Patient Care & urgent care clinic and was very impressed with the service. The staff were welcoming and treated me with care and respect. The wait time was reasonable, and the provider took the time to understand my symptoms and explain the treatment plan. The clinic was clean and well-organized. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who needs urgent medical care.

I’m satisfied with their services. When I called to make an appointment to see OB-GYN, I get my appointment the next day with Anna Lee. She is very friendly, professional, knowledgable, and easy to communicate with. Thank you Anna Lee for taking good care of me.
