Today was my first visit to NOVA Facial Pain. For seven months I have been dealing with tooth/orofacial pain that went incorrectly diagnosed. I had undergone a root canal and two apicoectomies within a four month period which provided no relief to the tooth pain I was experiencing. Fortunately I became aware of Dr. Carol Gabriel and her team and they rapidly diagnosed what was wrong along with a treatment plan. They were professional, thorough, and extremely competent. Dr. Gabriel has helped my tmd so much! I have had night time appliances made before but could never sleep well with them. She had one made for the lower teeth and I wear it every night - my symptoms are 100 percent better! Everyone in the office is kind and helpful.

My dentist referred me to Dr. Gabriel when I complained of neck and jaw pain, saying that Dr. Gabriel is the person to see to assess these problems. I saw Dr. Gabriel in June 2025. She and her staff listened carefully, ran some tests, and Dr. Gabriel concluded that my problems were caused by an ill fitting sleep apnea device which by then I had suspected myself and had stopped using. Dr. Gabriel discussed treatment options, including her making a new mouth device for me that would mainly stop my tooth grinding and get my jaw more aligned.
