I knew from my appointment scheduling with the office manager Wanda, my experience was off to a good start. Wanda sent a text with paperwork to sign and submit ahead of my appointment, as well as several well spaced reminders messages about the appointment. On the day of my appointment, I was greeted and waited under 5 min before I was brought back by Nya the Ophthalmology assistant. She coached me through each step of the scans she did and asked some questions about my concerns to prepare for my annual eye exam. Dr. Herring came in well informed about my eyes and eager to support my needs. He was personable yet professional which I could appreciate. After my appointment, he asked if I was interested in eye glasses, contacts, or did I just want my prescription. Since I wanted glasses,

I used to go here. It was alright. The exam felt a bit rushed but the doctor was nice so I was going to keep going, probably for all my eye needs going forward. However, about a year ago, I called to get my prescription info. They said it was expired. I said that's fine I just wanted to know the numbers and would be in for an update soon. She refused to give it to me. Said they didn't give out expired prescriptions. I explained that it's MY health information. She was a bit rude about it too. I've called several other places and they all seemed shocked I had that experience. I went to Optical at Target today- they said if I called and the prescription was expired, they'd just print it for me with 'expired' on it, but that I could always get the info. The exam there was efficient and yet al

Second year coming there. Everyone is friendly and professional. The assistants are awesome! I told the doctor I was on Blood pressure medication. He said he would do a Medicare eye exam to test for specific things that impacts the eye when one has high blood pressure. He assured me that my insurance would cover it. When it was time to give my co-pay, it was twice the amount I normally paid - because it was a different eye exam. I hadn't expected to spend that much on a co-pay, and I was inconvenienced by my weekly budget being thrown off. Given the level of professionalism I had experienced before, I was disappointed by the lack of transparency shown during this visit. Full transparency of costs should be a default in healthcare spaces. There seemed to be a bigger priority to selling me

It’s always a pleasure to be in Dr. Herring’s office. Dr. Herring and his entire staff are very kind and professional, and they’re all very easy to talk to. The lady at the reception greets you with a warm smile, which is a nice start to the visit. I had the pre-exam with Ms. Nyah—she was friendly, attentive, patient, and professional. The pre-exam went smoothly. The doctor is a good listener; she answered my questions and explained every detail in a clear and reassuring way. The technicians assisted me with care and also answered my questions. Overall, they are great. Highly recommend!

Staff is professional and very nice. Doctor conducted good exam and provided a lot of information about my prescription options. I feel first line treatment recommendations should be provided for dry eye before additional visits but maybe this is standard idk as first time dealing with dry eye. I had to do my own research and found an over the counter option that is helping for now before I decide to do more visits. I like transparency on the purpose of follow ups. Will we be starting treatment, deciding on testing, or reassessing symptoms? I want to be sure I understand the plan is all to make sure the time and money is worth it. ;)
