My dad has to unfortunately live there. The air conditioner in his room barely works. With all the money this for-profit home makes one would think they'd install central air. My dad has recently been infected with scabies. They are all over his body. Scabies occur from dirty bedding or from transfer. A nurse or assistant most likely treated another patient with scabies without wearing protective gear then eventually attended to my dad which transfered scabies to him. My dad is absolutely miserable there and I'm going to make sure the staff and for-profit owners of this creepy facility are held accountable for the mountain of issues in that place including staff conduct. My father was placed here as an emergency. He was diagnosed with very severe dementia at 53, we walked into his room and the whole room was still covered and littered with another person’s belonging. This just confused him to no ending, he was trying to explain to the workers that it wasn’t his room, and they were so ill prepared to deal with him, he got rightfully very upset and ended up in the hospital on a section 12, which was heartbreaking for our whole family. When I had walked into the building, a receptionist and a nurse was standing at the desk. I had introduce myself, and I let them know that I’m here for somebody. I am very please to say I am impressed with the activities department and staff my sister was there for while and she never got out of bed until the activity director started showing interest to the residents I think she is new there. They have live entertainment and the activity department have a lot of compassion and really care about the quality of life for the residents there
