Northwest Urgent Care at La Paloma

I am not one who often writes reviews, but my visit today left me speechless. While I won’t go into the medical details of my visit, I want to share that Dr. BURRUEL is the most thorough, thoughtful, and patient doctor I have ever met. This includes my previous primary care physicians and numerous other doctors I have seen throughout my 50+ years. For anyone in the waiting room, please know that IF there is any delay (by the why, my appt was on-time) it likely because Dr. BURRUEL is spending important and thoughtful time with each patient to truly understand their concerns, explore a diagnosis, and recommend the best next steps….well worth the quality of care provided. Check in was simple, completed the process online prior to my visit, clean and large waiting room and very accommodating

I was treated promptly and the staff was very courteous, thorough and professional, from the reception clerk all the way to the attending Nurse Practitioner. As a retired physician, being fairly healthy for the most part, I hadn’t been there for a great while, but it was reassuring to know this facility has maintained their level of quality in spite of all the changes in medical practice over the past few years. I appreciated having somewhere to go to get checked out, especially on a Sunday. Keep up the good work!

I have used this urgent care several times for members of my family. They are efficient, helpful, and they're open on the weekends which is very helpful. I've found the facility to be clean, nicely laid out, and very convenient. On one occasion I did have a billing issue, but that was several years ago and I haven't experienced anything like that since.

Check in was polite and efficient early on Sunday afternoon. The wait was only as long as it took me to fill out paperwork. The medical assistant was courteous and professional. Physician Assistant M. Seacord was attentive and offered me effective treatment. Great experience all around.

Front Desk check- in process was ok. Only 3 pts when I arrived, waited 1hour and 40 min before I was seen. Mary, RN was friendly and efficient, told me the delay was due to having only 1 provider on that day. Front desk should communicate better with patients regarding anticipated delays instead I had to prompt asking about long wait time. J Burrell was NP that saw me, she seemed thorough but stressed. She told me I would get handout with exercises for my condition with my summary and then left exam room. Upon my departure none of the clinic staff said anything about checking out, getting visit summary or gave me printout the NP said I would get. Again, I had to ask for the paperwork. Lack of communication and good customer service was my experience overall. DOS: 11/13/25.
