Northwell Health Verrazano Imaging at Staten Island University Hospital

Back in December we were trying to setup an appointment for a Heart Stress test for my husband. Advised what type of insurance, verified referral, and asked if had the approval by the insurance. We did not and they advised they couldnt move forward until then. To find out they moved forward with the appointment even though they claimed to have canceled due to the missing approval proceed to look up incorrect insurance did not bother to confirm any information. We called back this month to resetup the appt, provided the insurance information with the member id, type of insurance approval information to show up and state they have a new system we already verified the information your husband has a balance of $804 yet he has medicaid. My husband had a Pet Scan on Thursday, December 11th. As you know it can be very stressful but the moment we entered Verrazano Imaging we were put at ease. I must commend Brandon and Danny for the wonderful service they provide. Their dedication to their work is exceptional. They do their job with humor, sensitivity and kindness. We cannot thank them enough.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. ZERO EMPATHY FOR A PATIENT. I walked in at 7:47pm for a 7:45pm appointment only because the place looked closed with dim lights when I first walked in so I stepped back out to find their phone number. I walked back in to find a group of staff congregating towards the back of the room. They all looked at me like I was crazy. I waited MONTHS for this appointment. They provided me this appointment time I did not request this late of an evening. I was told they would call the technicians and then told that they had already “shut down” the machines. The level of disrespect and disregard for a patient is astounding. Why book a patient at this time? Why not reach out to the patient if you plan on getting out of work early? Staten Island do better.

We had a very positive experience here. From the second we walked through the door we were greeted by friendly staff. Tanya, the MRI tech was absolutely fabulous! She is the epitome of what great customer service is all about. She made sure that we were comfortable and relaxed and explained the process fully. The lady at the reception area (I forgot her name) was also fantastic and very caring. I would highly recommend Verrazano for all of your imaging needs.

They cancelled my appointment without telling me when I was driving two hours to get there. They had called me earlier that day and asked if I wanted to come earlier because they had a lot of cancellations but I told them I couldn’t because I was coming from far away after work. When I got there all the technicians needed for my appointment had left and I wasn’t even late for my appointment. Absolutely disgusting.
