Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care

This is the best urgent care in the area. We have been going there ever since we moved here in 2019. Very easy to set up the appointmnets online, normally you can be seen in just few hours. I do believe they accept walkins as well.

The PA, Julia Cohen was fantastic! I would see her as a regular provider. I would love to see these improvements. 1. The website should say that the doors don't open until 9:00. It was 9° outside. Anyone taking an Uber and thinking to get there 5 minutes early (like I did) for a 9:00 appointment will truly have a rough time waiting outside. 2. There is a great device to sign in - but no sign telling you to do that and there was no one at the reception desk. Arrival time is important if there is a line. I arrived first but only signed in when I saw someone who came in after me doing it. 3. My pharmacy had some issues with insurance coverage of my meds. They tried to reach Northwell using the phone number on the prescription. They left a message but no one called back. Hours later

Used to be my go to but will not be returning. I booked a 5PM appointment via the website. I arrived at 4:45PM and checked in. There was no receptionist to confirm that I was all set to be seen. About 30 minutes later, the medical assistant comes to the front asking if I got a text message and that I should use that link to complete my check in. Okay! I couldn’t get past the first screen for whatever reason. She stated that she would “look into it.” Great. Another 20 minutes before I get called into a room where she takes my vitals and tells me she doesn’t think the provider will do anything for my stated reason visit. Well why am I here? Okay. Another 30+ minutes and still no provider so I left. I can live with the pan for another night while I search for somewhere else to go tomorrow. N

This was the worst urgent care experience I’ve ever had. From the moment I walked in, the staff was unfriendly and unwelcoming. I waited over an hour without any communication or updates. When I politely asked about the delay, I was dismissed and essentially told to be quiet. This level of disrespect and lack of basic patient care is unacceptable. I left without care. Don’t waste your time going here.

Go Health Must Do Better I made a reservation for 10am and I arrived on time. It took me about 1 hour just to be seen by a medical professional/go to a room. What is the point of a reservation if I have to wait 90 minutes anyway? I wish they would at least give an update as soon as I got there that they have 3-4 patients before me. The system should text patients an update if the clinic is running late so patients don’t show up to the lobby just to endure an extensive wait with other sick patients.
