A great, long time friend told me about Northern Nevada Family Dental on Los Altos Pkwy, stating how clean the office was, along with how friendly and professional the staff were. I did some research by looking at online reviews - a lot of them, because you can't always know the truth by reading just a few, and even then... The reviews were very good, and so I took a chance and called to see if they were accepting new patients (they were), and asked them to set me up with a New Patient exam. I had a great experience with Anna, the hygienist at Northern Nevada Family Dental, during my cleaning today. She was incredibly detailed and thorough, making sure every part of the cleaning was done carefully and comfortably. What really stood out was how knowledgeable she is. Anna took the time to explain everything clearly and patiently educated me on how to better take care of my teeth at home. She even pointed out specific areas I should pay more attention to, which I really appreciated. It’s rare to find someone who is both skilled and genuinely caring. I'll be blunt. Not a big fan of cleanings but this time I had a different hygienist. I was on a time crunch so they were able to get the X-rays and cleaning done in 45 minutes, instead of spending that time just doing the cleaning. It wasn't painful, and she gave me some helpful hints on general cleaning at home. Overall, a much better experience.

This is my first time to Northern Nevada Family Dental, after moving to Sparks from California. Came in for a thorough checkup before I can get my teeth cleaned. Dr. Vaughn and his staff were extremely professional and friendly. After leaving my checkup I felt like a have a clear path to achieve my goal, which is a brighter smile and resolving some sensitivity issues.

Six months ago the hygienist recommended some changes to daily dental routine. I changed from brushing once per day to twice concentrating on the rear teeth. The x-rays had revealed some concern with my rear teeth. I was either flossing or water flossing once per day. Changed to flossing in the morning and water flossing at night. Yesterday Dr. Vaughn reviewed by new x-rays and checked my mouth. Everything looked good, just needed a cleaning. Hooray!
