Northern Cochise Community Hospital

We had a very scary experience bringing our son in, and the entire team was incredible. The doctors and nurses were patient, thorough, and took our concerns seriously every step of the way. They explained everything clearly, kept us informed, and treated our son with such kindness and compassion. We are so grateful for the care and reassurance they gave our family. Thank you for everything you do.

Customer service needs a little bit of work. I walked into the ER just to see if they had a neurologist at the hospital the sweet little Mexican lady y’all have in the front super nice. She answered my question but the lady, the older lady with the black and white hair, didn’t even hear what was asked, but told me she has to check in if she has any questions well ma’am, you don’t have a neurologist so there’s no need for me to check in being respectful to people who are coming in, is not a hard job but also don’t tell somebody they have to check in if they have a question on whether you not you have this specialist on hand. There would’ve been zero reasons for me to check in and spend $1000 for a doctor that they didn’t even have which is not a question that you have to sign in for.

We thought my dad was having a stroke. He was brought here, and from the nurses to the nurse practitioner to the neurologist, he was treated super well, given updates, regularly given information that was broken down and easy for him to understand. He had to be transferred to Tucson because this facility does not have an MRI machine. They set up the ambulance transport and were quick about arranging everything. I’m so thankful that the Care my dad got here!

I'm 54 yrs old and on otr driver. I was dealing with a kidney stone and in a lot of pain. I've never been treated so well as I was that night with this hospital. The people that work there are really caring and great and in general the whole town.

TL;DR- Don't go to NCCH ER and definitely do not take your young children there. Go to Benson!!! Or, if time allows, just head straight to Tucson. I ended up at the Willcox ER with my son nearly a month ago and I do not have a single positive thing to say about them. I waited to post this thinking I would calm down, but the more I think about it the more disgusted I feel. I received a survey in the mail from them and I was so very excited to fill it out. October 17 my 3yr old son was 15 days out from having an adenotonsillectomy (tonsils and adenoids were removed). The recovery for this is typically 2 weeks and small children handle it very well.
