You do not want to have to be seen by this doctor. If you can go anywhere else, do that. The trouble of dealing with him and his office is not worth it. He would rather keep prescribing pain meds instead of fixing the issue. He will turn you away that the ER and say make an appointment with his office if he doesn't want to be bothered while on call. Then he won't get back to you with an appointment and you keep getting the run around. I have dealt with this surgeon for a year regarding a hernia where my colon is wrapped up in it. I have been in tremendous amounts of pain. The doctors at the hospital believe surgery needs to be done but because he is the surgeon on call, he tells them to send me away with pain meds and make an appointment. Dr Patel is good but getting a call two days prior to an appointment to move it and it's put out two to three weeks because the doctor is not even going to be available is not totally acceptable, especially for a patient that's got issues and is losing weight and can't eat right. I've already been waiting on results from tests/procedures that were done. And now I'm waiting 2 or 3 more weeks to know what is going on?

This is update of the original review. I had a negative experience with scheduling service department. After writing a negative review the representative of the department called me and personally took care of all scheduling issues. After that I had a really outstanding experience with a surgical team at a surgery centre at Denton and surgery itself. Thank you. Greatly appreciated

Great surgical experience as well as in office visit. Dr. David was thorough and answered all questions and clearly explain all information. Surgery obviously isn’t “fun” but he made it as smooth of a situation as possible!

I was admitted to the hospital for emergency gallbladder removal. I was blessed to be assigned to Dr. David. He was very caring and explained everything to me. I’m doing great thanks to him and his team of nurses.
