My husband was in DCH for a week and then moved Noland Hospital for a week due to pneumonia. Originally, I was concerned due to the bad reviews and was hesitant to agree to have him transferred there. It only took a few hours to know that it was the best place for him. The care was amazing! The nurses, PCAs, respiratory therapists and physicians were all so attentive to his needs. Under their care he improved rapidly! I would highly recommend Noland Hospital for anyone who has been in respiratory distress and needs to receive the best care possible.

I highly recommend Nolan’s Ltach in Tuscaloosa,Al. For the quality of care and concern as a step down from ICU the staff, doctors, nurses, respiratory and rehab are fantastic. They have saved my daughter’s life numerous times since being there. God truly got her to the right place after discharge from UMMC in Jackson.

My family was not happy with the care or staff who took care of my aunt and we all took turns so that one of us would see her daily. We traveled 4 hours one way, weekly to see her. We had to make an appointment in advance for the one hour we would be there between 2-5. I think they were happy for the Covid rules which only let one person visit per day for that hour. My aunt started out on the ventilator, therefore she couldn’t use a nurse call button, then when removed still had a trach. When we went to see her the call button was on the floor or out of reach. When she could finally talk , all she could do was yell out to them for help. Her catheter bag was mostly always full of urine, the IV machine alarm went off frequently and alarmed a long time before turning off/fixing the problem.

Our family member was on the ventilator for almost 80 days after having covid. She was in 2 different ICU’s and on another unit and they were all unable to wean her off the ventilator. In fact the doctors said she would never come off. It wasn’t until she was transferred to Noland Hospital in DCH that she was able to finally come off the ventilator. Their main goal was to wean her and their team worked daily to do so. I will be honest, I was very hesitant for her to be transferred to this facility after reading the reviews . We were honestly at a point to where we were just taking a chance but they by far exceeded my expectations. Like all nurses everywhere, they were stretched thin at times but the team leader was in contact with us promptly if we ever had an issue and he went above and

The doctors recommended my family member to be admitted at this place. They do not have any nurses or nurse assistants to work. They only check on my family member 2 times per shift. That is at shift change times . I would not recommendmy neighborsworst dog enemy to come here..Nobody knows anything. It takes forever to get anything . I say do not go here. Sometimes I think a nursing home would be better than this place
