Nob Hill Pharmacy

I hesitate to post this review lest other people start to take advantage of this, but I love using this pharmacy! Its small, and has limited hours compared to the "big guys", but I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes for my medications. Compared to my other family members who spend hours waiting at other pharmacies. Super convenient too since we do our grocery shopping at Nob hill, so we can take care of two things at once. This is truly the worst pharmacy I’ve been to. The service is super slow, you first come in, wait in the line, and they ask you to wait 20 minutes for your order to be filled EVERY TIME even though the doctor sent it over the day before. Then after the 20 min wait you have to stand in a 20 minute line just to pick it up. The associates make no effort to serve patients faster, every trip to this pharmacy is an hr+ endeavor.

This being a pharmacy located within a grocery means that they will have limited stock of certain niche medications. For certains ones they will only stock one kind of generic so if you prefer the way a different generic manufacturer packages it, you won't be able to get it here. Sometimes if a prescription is called in they will not be able to fill it within the same day, or if the medicine ends up being one of those super-expensive ones, they won't even order it until they check with you first whether you really want it. That being said, they are very friendly and can give really fast turnaround for common medications. They also went the extra mile and suggested getting a pre-authorization for one medicine to get insurance to cover it. I didn't even know about pre-authorizations so I rea

They won't fill my prescription because they won't make enough profit from it according to Andrea who works there. Unbelievable. Who is in charge of this place? Won't be going there anymore obviously.

Pharmacist needs to take a shower. His hair is so greasy.
