NISD Employee Health & Wellness Center

Front desk staff and nurses/techs have always been friendly and professional. I had never had an unpleasant experience until recently. One of the nurse practitioners, Amy (who I had never seen before) took me off of a medication without warning. I had been taking the medication for over a year and it was prescribed by Dr Turner at the NISD clinic. I felt her demeanor was cold and her decision cavalier. I mentioned seeing a specialist, but was offered no referral. My husband was told that there's no doctor on site and that there won't be until September 2019. We were never informed that Dr Turner, who we had both been using as our PCP, was leaving... apparently she left three months ago. I left humiliated and visibly upset (with no concern from staff) and won't be returning for anything but

I had the most horrible humiliating medical experience of my life this past week. I was treated with no respect and no care. Worst bedside manner I have ever experienced in my 69 years. I am changing Dr.s and it concerns an important medication which I was thrown to the wolves over.

Everytime I have needed to go, making an appointment is fast, and the staff are very nice and professional. All the doctors are phenomenal and REALLY listen. They are the first ones to really hear what I had to say and test for it. I am very grateful and appreciative for this clinic!
