Today I had an appointment for a colonoscopy at NIH. From the moment I passed through the security gate—with everything well organized—to the valet parking area, everything went smoothly. A staff member kindly escorted me all the way to the room. The nurses were cheerful, friendly, and gentle. The doctor was caring and attentive, making me feel very comfortable. From the anesthesiologist to the surgeon, everyone was professional, thoughtful, and reassuring. Every step of the process was handled with care. Everything felt so nice and well done. It was truly a positive experience, and I felt very satisfied and well taken care of.

As a nurse, I was impressed with the operational efficiency. No waiting. Everything functioning like a well oiled machine. All hospitals could learn from your ability to manage high patient flows

Awesome! I have loved NIH! But they only things I don’t like about NIH is going through the security and having them check the trunk or frunk in some EV cars….too much trouble….and the cafeteria in the atrium is not good and not worth buying at all

If you are lucky enough to be invited by one of these exceptional doctors, or more like the collaborative team of doctors, don't hesitate to go! Have no fear... They are INCREDIBLE! I thought they would be more "controlling" since, to me, it feels like a loss of control when entering any hospital. This is a completely flipped atmosphere. It is patient centered, low-key, calm, and amazing. They are focused on helping cure rare diseases and are working with the patient and family. Also, you can actually sleep there since they are quiet and so much more gentle place. God bless the dedicated doctors & nurses here and the patients that they are treating.

NIH is the premier hospital in the United States. The best of the best are here and you must be invited. These experts offer you the best diagnoses and will suggest the best available treatment. I go every year for the exact tests for comparison studies and progression of my disease. Funding from the Federal Government is critical, this institution is a must for research and diagnosis.
