NextCare Urgent Care Raleigh

I have gone to this urgent care 2 times before and the wait and visit were quick. We got prescribed the right meds and felt better in no time! Most recently we waited 2 hours to be seen as a scheduled visit patient. Due to time of year I am not surprised, we do have alot of flu and sickness going around! The nurses and providers are nice. The front desk lady is nice as well. I would recommend this urgent care vs ER visit but bring a book or something to distract yourself while you wait.

While out running errands, I developed a fever accompanied by a massive frontal lobe headache. Concerned, I immediately started looking for an urgent care facility. All of them were closing at 8 but there was one near me still open and decided to go there.  It was a few minutes past 7 and there were at capacity.  My best friend asked if I’d consider one not affiliated with a hospital system and because I was in great discomfort and had no intention on going to the ER, I said yes.  We found NextCare and their website said there was no wait, pulled up around 7:20 and I rushed inside. The office staff and the First medical staff and the x-ray staff I found to be below satisfactory. They did just what they had to do and they added nothing extra. I felt like she had no personality and I find that a lot in a lot of the offices. Your medical staff needs to cheer up. I felt like I was at DMV. She didn’t smile when I was talking she waited till I was finished and and continued with everything like she wasn’t even listening to me.

The medical assistant was very nice and did a great job, the doctor was very quick he didn’t take up much time with us we felt like the visit was rushed. They also put the wrong lastname on the paperwork which made the pharmacy put the wrong lastname on the medicine bottle. I’m the one who filled out the form for him but his id and insurance card was put in the system for everything the clinic needed as far as his identity so I’m not sure why my last name was placed on his.

Please don’t go to this office—go anywhere else. Even the ER doesn’t charge what they charged me. I went in for stitches and was charged $130 upfront, even though I have a reimbursement plan. I was told I’d be reimbursed, but I’m still waiting. They also told me the stitch removal would be free as part of post-op care, but when I arrived, they tried to charge me another $130. After going back and forth with the manager, they agreed not to charge me and promised neither I nor my insurance would be billed. They even told me that if I did get a bill, I should call—which made no sense if they truly weren’t billing insurance. Sure enough, they billed my insurance and me anyway. When I called to get it corrected, I had to wait 30 minutes just to talk to someone. Then I was told, “We’re a priv
