NextCare Urgent Care Lee's Summit

This place has gone downhill. It was dirty inside, there was a dead bug on the floor in the exam room and the exam tables are ripped and worn. The NP that I saw was very unimpressive. I took a pretty hard fall down my basement steps and landed on my face. Despite my face being really bruised up she didn’t even really check me out. My leg was hurting most and they just did an xray and wrapped it up with an ace bandage. I told her the OTC pain meds weren’t helping and she didn’t offer anything to help with my pain. This was worse than being in a car accident and she didn’t bother to really check me out. Won’t go back here. Used to be a great facility.

I lIve 2.5 hours from KC. I found myself in need of medical treatment as i woke with a horrible allergic reaction on my face. I couldn't wait to get back to see a Dr and i didn't want to go to the ER. My daughter in love recommended this facility. I used the walk in option vs the online appt. Great experience from the first step inside the door! Receptionist/check-in was fast and friendly. This clinic had a very efficient staff. The nurse and Dr were great. They addressed the issue quickly. I was in and out of the clinic within 40 minutes. And things are MUCH better today. I would highly recommend this facility!

Pros: Got an appointment immediately by phone. Once at location, the wait time was about 10 minutes. Friendly reception staff. The doctor my husband saw was a friendly young female, who and made quick determination from information she received from the intake nurse previously. Three prescriptions were given. Two antibiotics and one for cough. Cons: I wish a Covid test, or Influenza test had been given to rule out those possibilities. Also a chest x-ray to determine if he had pneumonia. My 82 year old husband has a history with pneumonia, Influenza A and B, and ultimately Sepsis, several times over the last year, and a chest x-ray would have eased my mind. I also did not ask for that to be done, so I take responsibility for that.

I was able to schedule an appointment quickly and was seen on time. The physician confirmed that I had scratched my cornea and treated me. She was great! My eye pain subsided soon after I left.

I am from out of town and needed to be seen for a prolonged sickness and arthritis symptoms that were keeping me up at night. It was easy to get scheduled and the two receptionists at the desk were great. The intake nurse was patient and listened. The facility was super clean and smelled awesome. All was great until I saw the NP. Impatient, doubtful questioning rather than thorough questioning. I definitely felt like she had something better to do. I received two scripts, but once I went to pick them up, I was not sure I should take either of them because I was not sure the NP listened to my concerns. What she prescribed is what I was already doing and my symptoms were worse, so prescribing the same meds seemed pointless. I wasted my $65 copay.
