Newport Hospital

As a military spouse, having to find a new hospital from scratch every time we move has always been a significant source of stress. Because of that, I truly cannot express how grateful I am for the exceptional experience I had at Newport Hospital. This was my second childbirth, and I am so glad that I was able to deliver my baby here. Every person involved in my care was kind, attentive, and professional, and I felt genuinely supported throughout my stay. Whenever I had any concerns or questions, the staff always took them seriously and made sure to address them. No matter when I sent a message, I always received a response the same day or by the following day, which gave me great peace of mind. Went to the Emergency Room as a walk-in and was seen right away. The person who gave me an IV was really good about it, my nurses were nice, and the doctor explained everything clearly. The people who did my CT scan were really good, too. I had to call back to have my prescription transferred because CVS is unhelpful, and they transferred it quickly and were nice about it. I’m thankful for the staff here for being kind and genuinely caring.

Quality of staff is highly variable. Some unsafe RNs in ER. Triage/front desk will lie to your emergency contact/ person you arrived with. RNs will threaten you physically if you ask safety questions about doses they're not quite sure about (was it 2 or 12 better not double check!!!) then they'll send you home with a fictional discharge document. Edited to 1 star, patient safety people are combative and scared of being recorded. Actually criminal behavior and mindset.

I would like to thank the nursing staff for helping get through my hardest time in detoxing from alcohol. I stayed there for 7 weeks and it wasn’t easy but the staff was great with me and patient I was moody as expected. But they were excellent with me and treated me like family I love them all!! I highly recommend going there if you’re ready to change your life for the better!! I love Gloria the head nurse she seems tough around the edges but she’s got the biggest heart!! She takes her job seriously when it comes to getting you in the right path and I can’t thank the nursing staff enough! Happy holidays I miss you all xo

Was sent to Newport hospital on Wednesday evening never been to Newport hospital before .They wanted a brain scan as I have. Avm. They thought I might have a bleed went got it done asked the technician when I would get my results he said three to five days I’m like suppose I have a bleed I won’t be alive by then. He said don’t like it u can go to another hospital he was rude. Do I came home wondering did I have a bleed or not couldn’t sleep wondering. Thank God I didn’t have a bleed will never go back to the hospital again. I was traumatized. Lorrie McKenzie.
