Newark Community Health Center

My primary physician who I have been with for years took a position at Newark Community Health. I decided to follow her here to this location as I trust and respect my physician and didn't want to find a new primary. They also accepted my insurance. I always have an appointment so I can't speak to a walk in experience. If you don't have an early appointment parking is difficult even though they do have a parking lot. When snow is on the ground parking is even worse. The staff I have interacted with are friendly and helpful. The check in process can be confusing as you sign in as soon as you enter and then are given a sticker to bring to another room to place on a board. I was only told what room to go to and it was for Dr appointments and the dental clinic, I accidentally put my sticker on

Only stayed at this clinic because of Dr Verner. You will wait 3+ hours to be seen. This is because they triple book appointments. Went there recently for examination and tests, had a positive result and it's been four days since the results came in. If I didn't see my regular MD I wouldnt have gotten treatment for another two weeks, at the follow up they scheduled for me. Safe to say I won't be returning, and neither will my daughter.

This place is horrible. The employees are lazy and rude and make you feel like a burden for simply being there. I went for prenatal care and felt extremely uncomfortable due to the disrespectful attitude of the woman assisting me. I ended up leaving and decided to seek care elsewhere.

My appointment was at 11:45 a.m., but I arrived 15 minutes early. They saw me at 2:50 p.m. after I had spoken several times and asked why they weren't seeing my daughter!. The assistant got into a fight with the doctor in front of us! And to top it all off, the office stincks! I work for a hospital, and cleaning and disinfection should be a priority! Even more so when it comes to doctors' offices!
